The future of photography in Erie is changing, and the potential for what's to come is exciting. Thanks to MosaicErie, on February 8th dozens of photographers gathered under one roof to celebrate community. Names both big and small, veteran and newcomer, hobbyist and professional all gathered to be part of their art as one collective people. A " buy/sell/trade" open house was conducted, where photographers of any style could come and network, visit and experiment in the camera room, and buy/sell their used gear. "All the talent in the building was amazing" says Mosaic owner Christine Erin. "This is what we were going for!!! The energy in the room was truly magical." This is exactly what MosaicErie has been aiming to do, gather many people of the same community together and give them a place to celebrate their art as a collective group. Chris and Christine (owners) are true believers in the #communityovercompetition movement, and MosaicErie is how they have chosen to accomplish that dream. With this event, photography is more connected than ever before. The MosaicErie is quickly gaining prestige among the various communities of Erie, and their cultivation of the photography community was just the first of many good things to come!
